Liverpool’s summer signing Mario Balotelli is putting in extra training in order to try and make his Liverpool career a success, his assistant manager Colin Pascoe has confirmed.

The Italian has scored one goal in ten appearances so far for the Reds, missing some guilt edged chances along the way. The 24-year-old has also come in for criticism from the fans for his work ethic on the pitch.
However, the assistant coach at Anfield, Colin Pascoe, has defended him, claiming that the striker has been staying behind after every training session to put in extra work.
“Everything will be alright with Mario because you know his hunger is there and he wants to win,” he said.
“After every training session he wants to do shooting, passing – he wants to do everything, to work on his game. We as coaches will help him that way.”
Pascoe was speaking in the pre match press conference before the Merseyside club’s Capital One Cup game against Swansea City.
