Uruguayan has been linked with numerous big clubs.

Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani has dismissed press speculation linking him with a January move to the Premier League, report the Express, with the Uruguayan indicating that he is happy to remain at the Parc des Princes for the forseeable future.

There have been suggestions that Cavani is unsettled at PSG due to the preferential treatment given to star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, particularly in terms of his position as the lone striker, but Cavani’s comments seem to indicate that this have been overplayed.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for Cavani at various times over the last few months and will be disappointed to learn that one of few world class players potentially on the market appears to be staying shut.

This is what the Uruguayan had to say:

“This year everything is fine. I am in Paris, the city is beautiful and the club supports me.”

“These comments caused some problems, but they were not against the coach, the president or anyone else. I expressed my frustration, but that didn’t mean I had a bad relationship with any of them.”

“Sometimes these things can lead to a problem, but other times to a solution. We found a solution.”
