Chivas USA has folded, to be replaced by a new side based in LA in time for the 2016 season.
The single entity MLS has been searching for investors for the new side. After a long search to find someone who perfectly reflected the ideals, beliefs and vision of the league, they finally settled on… Vincent Tan.

The Cardiff owner will join a consortium of businessmen who will invest significant capital into the reincarnated side in an attempt to brush over the disastrous experiment of Chivas USA.
Hollywood producer Peter Guber, venture capitalist Henry Nguyen and Basketball analyst Tom Penn are the other members in the buyout team, and will put forward $100 million to get the project off the ground.
