The Italian forward was heavily linked with a switch the Premier League this summer, but in the end opted to stay in Serie A.

The 23-year-old seems to be regretting his decision now though, with Roma boss Rudi Garcia preferring to use veteran striker Francesco Totti and former Arsenal forward Gervinho over Destro.

The youngster has still managed to maintain his form however, bagging himself four goals this season despite limited playing time. If he does decide to make the move to England then he certainly wouldn’t be short of suitors.

“I can only do my talking on the pitch. Some people speak with their voice, I speak on the field,” said Destro.

“I try to score goals when I have the opportunity. [Should I be given] more opportunities by the coach? That’s up to the coach.

“I think with my head, I make decisions with my head. So we’ll see.”

Despite bringing former Manchester United star Danny Welbeck in on deadline day, Arsenal are still in serious need of another striker.

Chelsea may not be quite as desperate for Destro’s signature since bringing in Diego Costa and Loic Remy this summer, but with Didier Drogba considered to be past his best Jose Mourinho will be wanting a third choice striker at some point.
