Wenger favourably compares Sanchez to the Uruguayan.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has compared Alexis Sanchez to FC Barcelona forward Luis Suarez in the style of play the two South Americans use.
Suarez is currently considered to be among the best players in world football following his brilliant 2013/14 campaign with Liverpool, that saw him score 31 Premier League goals in 33 matches and earn the PFA Player of the Year award as a result.
Sanchez meanwhile has been impressing himself since arriving at the Emirates Stadium in a £35m move from Barca and Wenger believes the two attackers have plenty in common.
“There are similarities. Suarez sometimes gave the ball to the opponent but he gave it back straightaway. Sanchez is the same,” the Frenchman was quoted by the Mirror.
“There is no time between offence and defence. They are very quick as well.”
Sanchez has been in fine early form for the Gunners ever since coming to England from the Nou Camp and has already scored eight goals in 15 appearances in all competitions for Wenger’s side.
The Chile international is sure to play a key part in any success the North Londoners achieve this term and the fans and manager alike will be hoping he can one day emulate the achievements of Suarez in the division.
