Sean Dyche’s traveling Burnley side did a sterling job keeping Arsenal at bay for fully 70 minutes before Arsene Wenger’s side finally broke down the Clarets stubborn defence.

First Chilean Alexis Sanchez met Calum Chambers’ superb cross to head the home side into a long overdue lead.

Barely two minutes later and the next wave of Arsenal attacks resulted in an immediate second with young defender Chambers bundling in after an all mighty scramble.

Theo Walcott made his first appearance in nine months and could well have netted within seconds but the game was sewn up when Alexis Sanchez, fast becoming the Premier League signing of the season, showed a good burst of speed to force his way through a shattered Burnley defence before burying home his second and Arsenal’s third.
