The Colombian international has seven goals in nine La Liga appearances so far this season, catching the eye again for Unai Emery’s side after a strong campaign in front of goal last term as well.

Bacca has been linked with bigger clubs in the past, and it may now be that he will attract strong interest from the Gunners this winter as Arsene Wenger keeps an eye out on options to improve on his current forward players Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud.

Although the latter has been out injured for much of the season, a striker seemed a priority for Wenger for much of the summer, though £16m deadline day signing Welbeck has not delivered the goods so far.

The England international has just one goal in his last five games, and Bacca could no doubt make an improvement on the former Manchester United man upfront alongside the in-form Alexis Sanchez.

Other reports suggest that the big-name signing of unsettled Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is also still a priority for Arsenal for January.
