The Chilean’s intensity and work-rate is clearly evident on the pitch, but apparently there are concerns that the former Barcelona star will burn himself out as he carries those same qualities onto the training ground as well.

Having scored ten goals for Arsenal this season already, Sanchez is fast becoming a vital part of the Gunners set up. It is important therefore that he keeps up the level of his performances and doesn’t leave himself drained half way through the season.

“In training he doesn’t even want to do recovery days. That’s how much he loves football,” Walcott said.

“All the guys have told him he needs to chill out because, at Christmas when all the fixtures come along, it’s going to catch up with you.

“He doesn’t care, he just wants to play and win. He’s a good leader, and something that we haven’t had in the Arsenal team before. He’s a dream to play with.”

Playing continuously throughout the season is something Sanchez may not be used to, La Liga having a winter break which gives players time to recuperate.

If Arsenal’s top summer signing does leave himself exhausted half way through the season then Arsene Wenger’s side could be in trouble; but at the moment his energy looks endless.
