The England international has been sick and won’t be ready in time for the Gunners clash with the Belgian champions at the Emirates on Tuesday.

Wilshere didn’t train today but is on the mend, he should be fit to face Swansea at the weekend although a start is unlikely.

The 22-year-old has also been suffering with an injury recently, so the extra rest could do him some good. He has been plagued by a number of problems in his young career, and will be hoping to put them behind him and kick on to become a vital part of the North London club’s midfield.

He has long been touted as the future of Arsenal and England, and is now getting to the point where he needs to realise his potential.
