The former England skipper also added that his teammates, and manager Jose Mourinho will help him to put pressure on the club hierarchy to change its pricing policy.

This is following fan uproar about comments from manager Jose Mourinho claiming that the supporters don’t give his team enough backing at their home ground. The fans responded with accusations that ordinary followers had been priced out of attending games.

One young supporter, Joe Davies, went as far as to send a message to Terry on Instagram. To his surprise the 33-year-old responded asking for his phone number, and then rang him to say that he would see what he could do.

Davies was complaining after he used to be able to get a ticket for £15, but now that he is an adult the price has sky rocketed.

He told the Telegraph, “Now I’m 18, I’m expected to pay £50 for a game against Hull, even though I’m only on an apprenticeship at the moment.” He says that the Chelsea legend agreed that it was “ridiculous.”
