Real Madrid Superstar Gareth Bale To Make Injury Comeback Against Liverpool

Bale could return in Champions League tie.

Real Madrid’s Welsh wing wizard Gareth Bale could return to first team action this week, with the Mirror reporting that he could be involved as Carlo Ancelotti’s side host Liverpool in the Champions League looking to make sure of progress into the knock-out stages and continue a relatively serene passage through the group.

Bale has missed Real’s last four matches, including the victory at Anfield and El Clasico success against Barcelona at the Bernabeu, but he is back in training and could be considered for a place in the squad when Brendan Rodgers’ stuttering Reds visit the Spanish capital this week.

Real have been in sparkling form even without the world’s most expensive footballer, with a thrashing of Granada this weekend backing up their win over arch rivals Barcelona and allowing them to leapfrog the Catalans courtesy of Celta Vigo’s shock 1-0 victory at the Nou Camp.

Whilst he is unlikely to start during midweek having spent a month on the sidelines, he could well take a place on the bench and could be introduced if things are going to plan for Real, who will expect a comfortable victory that would allow them to rotate in the final group matches against Ludogorets and FC Basel – something that could present an additional obstacle to Liverpool’s hopes of qualifying.
