Liverpool Midfielder Posts Emotional Message After Reaching Landmark In Real Madrid Defeat

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva made his 250th appearance for the Reds in Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Gremio for £5m, is currently in his eighth season at Anfield.

He has scored six goals for the Reds.

After playing his 250th game for the Premier League outfit, Lucas posted an emotional message on Instagram.

He wrote: “Today I played my 250th game for LIverpool, it was a long journey with a lot up and downs and I had to listen a lot of stupid things anyway it was a great chance to play against the best team in the world.

“Thanks to all my family and people that supported me all the way.”
