Tottenham Target Trio In January Overhaul With Southampton Forward and German Star On White Hart Lane Wish-List

White Hart Lane side chase three new additions to help in pursuit of top four finish.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will look to sign three players in January to aid his push for a coveted top four finish according to the Daily Mirror.

Top of the White Hart Lane side’s shopping list is a new striking option with Pochettino targeting two players for the role.

The north London club are keen on experienced River Plate forward Teofilo Gutierrez, the 29 year old having been part of Colombia’s 2014 World Cup finals squad, netting in their encounter with Greece.

Spurs will make a £6m offer for the south American who’s only previous European football action took place in a season long spell at Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Pochettino is also readying a fresh move for Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez who is nearing a return to full fitness having been out for six months with a knee injury.

Tottenham are also interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach winger Patrick Herrmann with the likes of Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend failing to deliver this term.

Pochettino’s first season in charge of Tottenham has been a bit stop and start, with this side winning their first four matches in all competitions before hitting a run of poor form.

Spurs currently sit in eighth spot just three points off the top four.
