Manchester United Considering Shock Move To Re-Sign Central Defender Nemanja Vidic

Serbian has not impressed since signing for Inter Milan.

Manchester United are considering a sensational move to bring central defender Nemanja Vidic back to the club just months after he left the club on a free transfer to join Inter Milan, report the Express, after the Serbian has endured a torrid start to life with the Nerazzurri.

Vidic decided to make the bosman move to the San Siro after a hugely successful spell at Old Trafford that saw him win the Champions League and numerous Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson, but his performances were far less assured under now departed manager David Moyes last season.

Hopes remained high for Vidic in Milan, however, with Walter Mazzarri pinning plenty of hopes on the Serbian as he looks to bring Inter back to the top table of Italian football, but the performances of neither club nor player have lived up to expectations so far this campaign.

Vidic has been at fault for a number of goals and come in for some heavy criticism from both the Inter fans and the notoriously impatient Italian press, leading to reports suggesting that he could be allowed to leave in January – and that United could be willing to bring him back on a six month deal as Louis van Gaal desperately looks to patch up his struggling defence.
