During the loss 2-1 to Swansea on Sunday, the Gunners’ second highest ever scorer tweeted: “If Sanchez carries on at this rate, someone will pinch him off us next season.”
The Chilean has scored eleven goals in seventeen appearances for the North London club so far this season. With the rest of the team in poor form, it has fallen to the summer signing to keep the side in contention towards the top quarter of the Premier League table.
Injuries to Mikel Arteta, Laurent Koscielny, David Ospina, Mesut Ozil, Mathieu Debuchy, and Olivier Giroud have also held Arsene Wenger’s side back this campaign.
With his teammates playing so far below his own levels, it would be no surprise if the £30m man became frustrated at the club.
