The Sydney Morning Herald report that the Australia youth international will fly to Amsterdam after Adelaide’s clash with Perth Glory on January 5.

Adelaide and Ajax have reportedly been negotiating for several weeks, but an agreement has been reached so the Kenyan-born attacker can train under the eye of Ajax boss Frank de Boer.

Mabil has impressed at club level, playing a pivotal role in the Reds’ strong start to the A-League season.

The 19-year-old has also put in strong performances at international level, scoring four goals in eight matches with the Young Socceroos (U-20).

He has two years left on his deal with Adelaide, but could leave during the January transfer window should he impress during his trial with the 33-times Dutch champions.
