Elrich was set to come off contract at the end of the season, however the 27-year-old’s new deal ties him down at the club until the end of the 2016/17 season.
“It’s great that the club and coach give you confidence as a player,” Elrich told the club’s website.
“As long as I am enjoying my football and the fact that Josep is making me feel very welcome, it gives me confidence again as a player. And as long as he is here, I was happy to stay.”
Reds boss Josep Gombau told of his delight of keeping Elrich.
“I am so happy that he extended his contract,” said Gombau.
“He is a player that provides to us a lot of things. He can play different positions and as a person his role in the changerooms is very important.
“I am very satisfied he has accepted our offer and he is a very good addition to our Club for the next two seasons.”
