Arsenal To Bid £26m For Legend Who Accepts He’ll Need To Leave Club

The Gunners are supposedly chasing the Champions League winner…

Arsenal have been linked with Barcelona’s Pedro in recent weeks, and the possibility of a move has grown greatly after the Spaniard’s recent quotes.

The attacker, who was once an integral part of the side, has been pushed out of the running by successive summers of spending: Neymar and Luis Suarez have arrived and taken his minutes, and youngster like Munir El Haddadi are now eating into them too.

“I know it is hard to play at Barcelona, I will continue to give my all to do well. The coach is trying to give me a lot of confidence even though I’m not getting to the team,” Pedro is quoted as saying by the Metro.

The 27-year-old has been at Barcelona for his whole career, and the possibility of him failing to adapt after a move to the Premier League is definitely there. But Arsene Wenger seems keen on him, and his pace and technique would add further depth to an Arsenal attack which is already well stocked with the two.

The £26m price being quoted in the media could be a sticking point however, with Arsene Wenger unlikely to want to risk such a large sum of money on a player when he has so many holes in other parts of the team.
