The Ivory Coast international has impressed in his short time in the Premier League, scoring 25 goals in all competitions in his first season for the Swans last season.

Bony’s form has dipped slightly this season, with only four goals in nine top flight matches, but he remains a highly regarded talent and one who could make a difference to Roma this season.

It may be that the 25-year-old is being targeted by the Italian giants due to recent speculation linking star striker Mattia Destro with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico, with Arsenal believed to be one of his main suitors.

Destro’s goals have been a big part of Roma’s success under Rudi Garcia, and his departure would no doubt leave the club needing a replacement signing upfront, with Bony emerging as a top candidate to do that.

The Liberty Stadium forward was also linked with other big clubs during the summer, though he remained with the Welsh outfit for the start of this season, even if his future remains up in the air.
