Emirates Stadium side ready to fork out massive sum for Colombian international pair.
Arsenal are ready to fork out a massive £60m fee to sign FC Porto duo Jackson Martinez and Juan Fernando Quintero according to the Metro.
The north London side will make their offer at the end of the current campaign as Arsene Wenger sets about improving his Emirates Stadium squad.
The Gunners have been linked with an interest in Colombian goal machine Jackson Martinez for some time though one wonders quite where the 28 year old would fit into the Arsenal attack.
Wenger signed Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez over the summer and both have made immediate impacts so perhaps a move for Martinez is with a view to replacing central striking option Olivier Giroud?
21 year old playmaker Quintero, also a Colombian international. is certainly one for the future and again it’s not instantly obvious as to how the young attacking midfielder would fit into Wenger’s plans.
Whilst Arsenal fans will be pleased to see their side willing to throw big sums at strengthening their playing staff they may well demand such moves are made in January for fear that their side could once again miss out on major honours of even fail to secure a top four finish after a fairly average start to their current campaign.
