The 20 year old is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football but may struggle to make an impact at the Bernabeu.

The attacking midfielder impressed in Real Madrid’s ‘B’ team before being promoted to the first team but has managed just 19 minutes of La Liga action thus far this season.

Medran moved to Real Madrid during Jose Mourinho’s stint in charge of the club and appears to retain an interest in the youngster, who has already been capped at Under 21 level.

Mourinho has been linked with an interest in a number of his former Real Madrid charges including defender Raphael Varane and midfielder Sami Khedira.

The Blues squad is expansive to say the least and there is a fair smattering of truly talented youngsters available to Mourinho and as such the addition of alternatives may well be with a view to trimming Chelsea’s playing staff.
