The Hammers’ investor answered a question on the subject of the defender’s future in a Twitter Q&A on Monday…

The New Zealander has been key part of the London club since signing in 2010, and was named “Hammer of the Year” in 2013. He has carried on that form this season as his club have enjoyed a stellar start to the campaign.

However, the 26-year-old is yet to sign a new contract with his current deal ending in the summer. This has enticed the interest of Arsenal, who were already interested in the player after his prior form.

Meanwhile, West Ham have had a great start to the term, and currently lie in fourth with 11 games gone. They will be hoping to build on this start and be challenging for European football come the end of the campaign, but will need players such as Reid to remain at the club in order to do so.
