The French international is enjoying some of the finest form of his career at the moment, and is attracting strong interest ahead of the upcoming transfer window after a flying start to the season in front of goal.

Gignac has scored 10 goals in his opening 12 games in Ligue 1, and could be an ideal solution to both Arsenal’s and Liverpool’s problems upfront this season, with the two sides somewhat lacking quality options in front of goal.

The Reds lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona this summer, while Daniel Sturridge’s injury has left Brendan Rodgers overly reliant on the highly disappointing Mario Balotelli, who has struggled since his £16m move from AC Milan.

The Gunners, meanwhile, have also had injury problems as Olivier Giroud has spent much of the season out, while summer signing Danny Welbeck has not quite been at his best since joining the club from Manchester United.

Gignac looks to be getting to his peak now, and it is no surprise to see him become the subject of much speculation ahead of January.
