Batman Ridiculously Set To Sue La Liga Giants Valencia Over Club Crest

DC Comics not impressed by the Valencia badge.

Spanish giants Valencia have started the La Liga season incredibly well and are sticking with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the table – but it looks as though the Mestalla side are going to have to prepare for a battle with a slightly more scary adversary in the shape of Batman.

According to Eurosport, DC Comics are set to sue the Spanish side due to similarities between the club’s crest, which incorporates a bat, and the company’s own Batman logo – despite the fact that bats are prominent in Spanish cultural history and have featured on the Valencia badge since before Batman hit the shelves.

As this GIF also shows, the Batman logo has changed so regularly over time that it seems hard for DC Comics to claim that Valencia have infringed on any of them, considering they seem to be discarded every year or two:

With DC Comics having registered their complaint with OHIC, however, it seems as though Valencia are going to have to gear themselves up for one of football’s weirder courtroom battles!
