Manchester City Set To Extend Lampard Loan

MLS side New York City have confirmed that they are in discussions with Manchester City about a possible extension of Frank Lampard’s loan deal.

New York City are part owned by the English side, and as such would have little say in the matter if the ownership group decided that Lampard staying in England was in Manchester City’s best interests.

Lampard has enjoyed an Indian summer this season, scoring two goals in six games.

With the MLS season not starting until March 2015, Lampard could extend his City deal without impacting too much on the new New York franchise. New York are also expected to announce a training camp in England this winter, allowing Lampard to integrate with his new side whilst still turning out for The Citizens.
