The Red Devils are known to be desperate to sign one of the Real Madrid stars in big-money deals, but it would take the departure of one of their big names to help fund such signings, with Di Maria looking set to be the one in the firing line.
The Argentine has been in impressive form since moving from the Bernabeu to Old Trafford in a club-record £59.7m deal this summer, but he has recently been quoted as saying he would’ve liked the opportunity to move to Paris Saint-Germain this season, only for the move to fall through.
PSG are now said to be on alert for the 26-year-old, with the French giants known to be chasing a left-sided attacking midfield player, having previously targeted Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
Despite only just signing Di Maria, United may be willing to cash in on him now as they look to replace him with either Ronaldo or Bale, who are undoubtedly a class above many top players at the moment.
