Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is understandably keen to improve his squad in the upcoming transfer window after a difficult start to the season, with his side languishing in 11th place in the table with only four wins and already five defeats.

Having challenged for the title last season, Liverpool now face a fight just to finish in the top four, with the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona hitting the club hard during the summer transfer window, while Daniel Sturridge’s lengthy absence through injury has also made an impact on the team’s attacking displays.

It now seems that Liverpool could look to Chelsea to improve their options in attack, whilst also considering another first-teamer on the books at Stamford Bridge who could add plenty of quality and experience to boost their defensive performances.

The players are as follows:

1) Andre Schurrle

According to recent claims from the Liverpool Echo, Chelsea’s German winger Andre Schurrle is a £25m target for the club this January as he may be allowed to leave, having fallen out of favour in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup this season. There’s no doubt the former Bayer Leverkusen wide-man could be an excellent addition at Anfield if given the chance to play regularly.
