Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell Robin van Persie at the end of this season as he nears the end of his contract with the club.

The Dutchman has not been at his best in recent times, struggling to replicate the superb form he showed in his first season at Old Trafford, when he finished as top scorer in the Premier League to fire the club to the title.
Injuries and managerial changes have not helped his cause since then, with the player occasionally looking unsettled last season, though it is now feared that at the age of 31 he may be past his best.
It had been hoped that van Persie would rediscover his best form under his former Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal, who replaced David Moyes as manager at United this summer, but it seems that the new Red Devils boss is now planning for life without him.
Having shown himself to be a world class performer in recent years, van Persie could prove hard to replace, though it is claimed that the club have two main candidates to come in in that position, both of whom certainly look world class and like potentially exciting deals.
