Black Cats ready to pounce for the capture of Bruma.

Gus Poyet and Sunderland are preparing to pull off a genuine transfer market coup in beating Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton to the signing of Galatasaray winger Bruma when the window reopens, report the Daily Star, with the young Portuguese international having been dubbed as ‘the new Ronaldo’ on account of his power and ability to provide goals from wide areas.

According to the report, Sunderland are preparing to submit a £9.5 million offer for the fleet-footed wide man in January, an offer that could well be enough to tempt Turkish side Galatasaray to sell as they endure a disappointing season under former Italy manager Cesare Prandelli.

Chelsea are the club who have been most strongly linked with Bruma in the past, but the Blues’ interest in the Portuguese Under 21 international is yet to materialise into a serious bid and they could be set to regret that indecision if Poyet and his side steal a march on the Premier League leaders.

Despite some real flashes of potential from Bruma in Istanbul, the report suggests that Gala will be happy to sell if they recoup at least the £8m that they paid to Sporting Lisbon for the player’s services, meaning that a potential bargain could well be on the table.
