The exciting youngster, still only 21, has made a great start to the Premier League season this term, scoring seven goals in twelve games to establish himself as one of the most promising players in England.

This has alerted a number of top clubs to his signature as the January transfer window approaches, with Liverpool particularly keen to bring in a new signing upfront after losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona in the summer, and with Daniel Sturridge spending much of this campaign out injured.

Berahino is now seemingly the top priority for Brendan Rodgers as he seeks a top quality addition in that position, though it may take an offer in the region of £30m to persuade the Baggies to let him go.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the player in recent times, but have been unsuccessful with bids of around £15m for his services, which may see them miss out on his signature.

Indeed the Reds now seem favourites to snap him up this winter, while reports also suggest they could loan misfiring forward Rickie Lambert back to Southampton.
