The Reds have made a disappointing start to the season, looking some way off the team that came so close to winning the Premier League title last season, with the departure of Luis Suarez and the injury to Daniel Sturridge clearly having a major impact on the side’s performances.

Liverpool spent heavily during the summer, but could now be set to make even more changes to their squad, with attacking players clearly on the agenda for Brendan Rodgers as he looks to go some way to replacing the impact of Suarez and Sturridge upfront.

It is believed that these two players are among the club’s main priotirites for the January transfer window:

1) Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)

Valued at £30m already, West Bromwich Albion’s exciting 21-year-old striker Saido Berahino is supposedly one of Liverpool’s top targets to come in upfront this January. The England Under-21 star is also wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, though they may be unable to afford him, having failed with £15m bids for him in the past.
