The German international has been a bit part player for Arsenal this season, and has been growing increasingly unsettled with his role at the club.

He has reiterated his desire to hold talks with Arsene Wenger regarding his future, and insisted that he does not want to be seen as a clown.

“I have to try to talk with Arsene Wenger. I want a fair chance,” he said.

“I love London, I like the club, but I do not like the situation. I’m not a clown.”

Podolski is known in the Premier League as a lethal finisher, and if a chance at goal is going to fall for anyone you would like it to be him.

His work-rate has been criticised on a number of occasions however, and he has regularly failed to have the impact that is expected of him.

He has made 75 appearances for the Gunners since joining in 2012, scoring 29 times. His role at the club has been dwindling season by season however, resulting in speculation that he could be on his way out.
