Poor Ronaldo soaks up the hate as Madrid steamroll La Liga minnows.
Cristiano Ronaldo is used to having abuse screamed at him. At times he’s even welcomed it. But this weekend during Real Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Eibar he looked to be genuinely hurt.

Just because they’re the new boys in La Liga and the smallest club to ever reach Spain’s elite, Eibar aren’t about to roll out the red carpet for anybody, the proud Basques that they are.
And the home fans went about trying to unsettle Cristiano Ronaldo as best they could by hurling an incredible amount of abuse at him.
They chanted ‘tonto’ (‘loser/jerk’) at him after scoring, and then ‘este Portugues, hijo de puta’ (what a son of a bitch that Portuguese’), which surprised Cristiano.
He took the original jibes in good nature, but when he was taken off in the second half he looked to be surprised, and a little hurt, by the ire that the chant held.
Poor Ronny, he just needs somebody to love him!
