Red Devils keen to offload high earner.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is still keen to offload high-earning winger Nani next summer despite his fine form on loan with Sporting Lisbon, according to the Independent.

The Portuguese international is currently on a salary of £3.95m a year, which looks like being too much for Sporting to pay to keep him permanently, meaning he is unlikely to remain with the club when his loan spell expires at the end of the season.

Nani has previously been a key player at Old Trafford, but found himself shipped out on loan this season after a couple of years of poor performances for the club.

Still, his revival back at his old club has seemingly not done enough to persuade van Gaal to reinstate him into the first-team setup at United, and the Red Devils will instead try to find another buyer for him who may be more financially able to meet his wage demands.

It is thought that a move to Spain, Italy or Germany is most likely for Nani, while Sporting’s rivals Benfica and Porto are richer and may be in a good position to snap him up if they choose to do so.
