The Colombian has been absent for most of the season, with a calf injury sidelining him for five weeks. He could be set for an exciting return at Old Trafford however, with Louis van Gaal’s side hosting Hull City.

He has recently returned to full training, and van Gaal revealed that he would definitely be in the squad this weekend.

There have been rumours that a dip in form could see Robin van Persie dropped from the starting XI, but with Falcao only recently returned from injury it could be a little too soon for the former Atletico Madrid man to start.

Having made just four appearances for Manchester United so far, it is unclear whether the club will be willing to make the move a permanent one.

Currently on loan from Monaco, it would cost United roughly £50m to make him a permanent addition at Old Trafford.
