The 22 year old French international flew to Manchester last week to discuss the move and is seen by Manuel Pellegrini as a viable January transfer window target.
The Etihad Stadium side currently have the likes of Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov challenging for the left-back spot but neither has impressed this season.
Kurzawa has represented the Stade Louis II side since the age of 15 but could be ready for a new challenge whilst AS Monaco may need to balance the books in order to meet UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines after a heavy level of transfer spending in recent seasons.
