The 44-year-old has been tipped for a switch to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City all thought to be interested.

Simeone recently heaped praise on Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain however, fuelling speculation that he could be next in line to take over the French club.

The Argentine took over at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in 2011, not only wrestling La Liga away from Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, but also coming just minutes away from winning the Champions League before a late surge from Los Blancos.

Simeone recently declared his allegiance was with Atletico, but looks to have done something of a u-turn after admitting that he is extremely impatient.

“I’m a spontaneous guy, and spontaneous people are notoriously impatient. I can’t stay for 10 years at the same club,” he said.

With top quality managers a rare commodity nowadays, he will surely have no shortage of suitors if he decides to move on.
