With Brendan Rodgers’ side struggling for form there may be a fear that either player could be reticent about penning new deals.

24 year old midfielder Henderson has been offered a five year deal worth £80k a week but Liverpool are still waiting for the former Sunderland man to put pen to paper.

Perhaps more worryingly teenage winger Sterling, who has been the subject of growing interest, is also yet to commit his future to the Merseyside club.

The wide-man has been offered a whopping £100k a week deal to fend off interest from a number of interested parties, including Real Madrid, but Sterling is still to sign.

Sterling has been in excellent form over the past 18 months but could perhaps be considering his options given his side’s average start to both their Premier and Champions League campaigns.
