Baggies boss Alan Irvine will look to beat Everton in pursuit of the Gunners starlet and hope to bring in the Costa Rican international on a loan deal in January.

Irvine wants to bring in the forward on an initial temporary move before making the deal a permanent one next summer with this source claiming such a switch would cost around £8m.

Inter Milan, Juventus and Sporting Lisbon are also interested in the 22 year old.

Campbell has spent the last three seasons on loan at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos before impressing at this summer’ World Cup finals and being ushered into the Gunners first team set-up.

However Arsene Wenger hasn’t offered the adaptable attacker much of a chance to prove himself as yet with the Arsenal manager handing Campbell just 37 minutes of Premier League football this term over the course of two sub appearances.
