FIFA’s best 15 attacking players, but who will make the final three…
FIFA have announced the 15 finalists for the attacking positions in their 2014 World XI. Ballon d’Or contenders Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are both included, and will likely fill two of the three positions available.
The Real Madrid and Barcelona superstars have both excelled again this year, and that has once again been recognised by FIFA. Ronaldo inspired Madrid to a record tenth Champions League title, while Messi helped Argentina reach the World Cup final during the summer.
Other candidates include Premier League trio Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa and Wayne Rooney. Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez also makes the list, as does ex-Tottenham winger Gareth Bale. The full list can be seen in the tweet below:
