Training pictures at Arsenal suggest squad places for young Gunners against Southampton at the Emirates…
Arsenal youngsters Stefan O’Connor and Ainsley Maitland-Niles were snapped training with the first team on Tuesday morning, with the team working hard ahead of their Premier League match against high flying Southampton.

Arsenal have a number of injury problems at the moment, which means we could see one of the Under-21s stars making a surprise step up to the first team.

Stefan O’Connor is deployed mainly as a centre-back, so may find himself on the bench if Laurent Koscielny is fit to start. Arsenal’s main problem at the moment is at left-back however, with both Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs a doubt for Wednesday night’s Emirates fixture.
Arsene Wenger is known for his faith in youth products, and has regularly brought players up from the academy. We would more than likely have seen a Premier League debut for Isaac Hayden this season as well, if it wasn’t for an untimely injury to the young defender.
How Arsenal are set to line up against the Saints is probably going to remain a mystery up until the release of the official teamsheets, with Wenger set to asses the fitness of a number of players before the game.
