Gunners rekindle interest in Saints midfielder.
Arsenal are ready to revive their interest in signing Southampton’s in-form French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this January, according to Fichajes.com.
The 25-year-old has been one of the Saints’ top performers in the Premier League this season, showing himself to be a combative and technically gifted all-rounder who could no doubt add something to this Arsenal squad.
Arsene Wenger’s side are currently short of options in the middle of the park, with the likes of Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere out injured and Mathieu Flamini not impressing in that position so far this season.
Schneiderlin could be available for around £15m, and may be the latest big-name player at the St Mary’s Stadium to depart the club this season, following the likes of Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren and Luke Shaw, who left the club this summer, as well as Calum Chambers, who also joined Arsenal.
Despite Southampton’s fine start to the season, this deal would be another blow after Ronald Koeman’s side suffered two defeats in a row in the league.
