The ABC report that the Dutch-Ethiopian has torn his hamstring off the bone and will miss the remainder of Perth Glory’s A-League campaign.

The 32-year-old suffered the injury during Perth’s 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium last week.

Hersi joined the Glory in the off-season after spending the last two seasons with the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Perth extended its lead at the summit of the A-League table following a 2-1 come from behind win over Sydney FC on Thursday.
