The 32-year-old’s representative says he’s going nowhere, at least in January.
According to quotes being reported by Goal, Petr Cech is going nowhere in January.
The Czech goalkeeper has been linked with moves away from Chelsea since losing his place to Thibaut Courtois at the start of the season.
But any club hoping to secure a deal for Cech in January will be disappointed to hear what his agent had to say:
“There has been no contact with AS Roma. Certainly Petr will not move during the transfer market in January.”
Liverpool are on the lookout for a new keeper because of the disastrous form of their current number one, Simon Mignolet, who has made a series of dreadful errors on the last few months.
Jose Mourinho has insisted all season that he’s keen to keep hold of the 32-year-old, and his response to a journalist’s question about the news shows:
Petr Cech’s agent insists the goalkeeper is not leaving in January. Mourinho’s reply: “Good” http://t.co/jk1VgYD53f
