The Serie A club have sent their representative Piero Ausilio to London to try and broker the deals for the two 22-year-old as Inter prepare to shake things up under returning manager Roberto Mancini.

There is every chance Campbell could leave the Emirates Stadium in the New Year with the Costa Rica international finding first team opportunities hard to come by despite his eye-catching performances at the 2014 World Cup.

Arsene Wenger had told the forward he would get more game time for the Gunners, but is now behind five players in the pecking order for a place in the Frenchman’s starting XI.

However, Ausilio may have more trouble trying to prise Lamela away from White Hart Lane and back to Italy – with the Argentine being signed from AS Roma by Spurs for a club record £30m in 2013.

Although the South American struggled to find form during his first season in England, the appointment of fellow countryman Mauricio Pochettino over the summer was thought to help address that.

Lamela has shown better form since Pochettino took over and with Tottenham struggling overall they probably won’t want to part with one of their most exciting players.
