Mo Salah set for showdown talks with Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is set to meet with his manager Jose Mourinho to discuss the future of the Egyptian international, report the Daily Star, with the former FC Basel man seemingly keen to push through a loan move to Roberto Mancini’s Inter Milan when the January transfer window reopens in an attempt to revive his flagging Stamford Bridge career.

Salah signed for the Blues from Swiss champions FC Basel in January on the back of two wonderful performances against the club in the Champions League, but he is yet to hit those heights in the blue shirt of Chelsea and is a long way from the club’s first team, only really appearing in cup matches this season.

New Inter manager Mancini has reportedly drawn up a list of targets for the San Siro hierarchy to consider as he looks to guide the club back into the Champions League – and a loan move for Salah appears to be high up on the Italian’s list of priorities following his return to the club.

Mourinho is reported to have recently said that he doesn’t want to lose any players in January, however, even on short term deals – meaning that Salah could be forced to stay at Stamford Bridge despite his desire for first team action.
