Soldado scored his first goal in eight games six days ago, as Spurs beat Everton 2-1.

However, he was dropped to the bench on Wednesday, with Pochettino adopting a more cautious approach in a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Soldado will partner Harry Kane in attack in what is likely to be a 4-4-2 formation.

Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela will provide the width and flair in midfield, while Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason will get the chance to continue their impressive partnership in the middle of the pitch.

Club captain Younes Kaboul is again among the subs, with Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio preferred in central defence.

Vertonghen will make his 100th appearance for Spurs.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will skipper the side.

Former Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh leads the attack for Palace, who have not won at Spurs since 1997.
