There have been mixed messages over the length remaining on his contract, with some sources saying he has a year remaining while his father claims he will be a free agent next summer.

Leicester City are currently in the midst of a relegation dog fight, and are struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League after being promoted from the Championship.

They badly need a prolific front man, and with 28 goals in 22 games for club and country he certainly fits the bill.

The Foxes are facing tough competition in the shape of Chelsea and Tottenham however, and unless they move fast for the 23-year-old Croatian they could see their top target move to one of their Premier League rivals.
