He may not get to show it from every set piece, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez also lurking over Real Madrid dead balls, but Welsh wizard Gareth Bale is one of the finest free kick takers in the game. He is also, along with Ronaldo, one of the masters of the knuckleball strikers – a flat, swerving delivery that can cause nightmares for goalkeepers if it is struck properly. In a new video for Adidas, Bale has shown us exactly how to do it, so Sunday League players can try blazing theirs over the bar.
