Brisbane Roar Star Defender Wants Move To Thai Premier League Club

Brisbane Roar captain Matt Smith could be on his way to Thailand…

A-League champions Brisbane Roar have confirmed they have been approached by a Thai club in regards to the services of captain Matt Smith.

Roar chairman Chris Fong said the club would wait for a formal offer before making any decision.

The club, reported to be Bangkok Glass, has made contact with the Roar.

“Matt has expressed the view to the club that he believes this possible move is in his best interests at this stage of his playing career,” Fong said.

“Brisbane Roar will await a formal offer from the club and will then consider Matt’s request.”
